Terms

1. About us and these terms
This website is run by Peter McGinley, trading as MMC Trims (sole trader) ("we", "us"). These terms apply to your use of this website and to digital products and services you buy from us. Contact: [email protected] (postal address available on request).
2. Our content is guidance, not advice
Articles, newsletters, the Blueprints, checklists and templates are general guidance for the apparel trims industry. They are not legal, regulatory, tax or testing advice for your particular products or markets. Regulations and brand requirements change. Before making a compliance claim or relying on a requirement, confirm it with an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory and, where needed, a qualified adviser. We take care to keep content accurate and dated, but we do not guarantee that it is complete or current at the time you read it.
3. Digital products
- Seller. Digital products and paid newsletter subscriptions are sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as reseller and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy’s terms apply to the purchase, including payment, tax and receipts.
- Licence. A single-company licence lets employees of one company use the product for internal purposes and adapt the templates for its own documents, including dossiers sent to brands. A team licence covers up to 10 named users. You may not resell, publish, share publicly or redistribute the products.
- Updates. We may update products to reflect regulatory changes. Buyers of the current edition receive updates to that edition free of charge.
- Refunds. If a file is faulty or not as described, contact us within 14 days and we will fix it or refund you. If you buy as a consumer, you agree that supply starts immediately and you acknowledge that your right to cancel ends once the download begins, as permitted by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This does not affect your other statutory rights.
4. Paid newsletter
Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the customer portal link in each paid issue; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
5. Services (Brand Approval Advisory and LinkedIn Visibility)
Each engagement is governed by a written proposal or client agreement setting out scope, fees, minimum terms and confidentiality. If there is any conflict, the signed agreement prevails. In summary:
- We do not guarantee nominations, approvals, orders, leads or follower numbers. Brands make their own decisions.
- For LinkedIn Visibility, you approve every piece of content and publish it yourself. We never ask for your LinkedIn login. You confirm that the information and images you give us are accurate and that you have the right to use them.
- We work with one supplier per product category per target brand at any one time.
- Fees are payable as stated in the proposal. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. Clients outside the UK are responsible for any local taxes or withholding that apply to services they import.
6. Intellectual property
All content on this website and in our products is owned by us or our licensors. Content we create for clients under a service agreement is licensed or assigned to the client as set out in that agreement.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business or opportunity. For business customers, our total liability arising from any product or service is limited to the amount paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Website use
You may browse and share links to this website. Do not copy substantial parts of it, scrape it, or use it in a way that harms the site or other users. Links to third-party websites are provided for information; we are not responsible for their content.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers may also have rights to bring proceedings where they live.
